I am Tosin Akinyemi. I obtained my law degree in Nigeria, and thereafter got admitted to the Nigerian bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2015.
After some years in general law practice, I began to specialise in sports law and regulations due to my long-established interest in the field. Eventually, I founded ‘Sportlicitors’ in 2017 — one of Nigeria’s foremost sports law firms.
Since being admitted to the bar, I have provided service to several clients as per legal advisory and legal representation before FIFA, domestic tribunals and civil courts. I have advised clubs and players on compliance with sports regulations and disciplinary matters such as anti-doping; as well as on sports marketing, torts in sports, and intellectual property rights. I have also provided legal services in respect of sporting and commercial contracts, among others. Notable previous clients include FIFPRO, Oghenekaro Etebo, Uchechi Lopez, Godbless Asamoah, Adama Coulibally, and Gbagada FC
In 2022, I obtained a Masters degree in Sports Law from Nottingham Trent University, and presently work as an independent Consultant.
Outside law practice, I love to listen to music, watch football matches, and engage in community service.
